My name is Betina Tiemi Cavalheiro Ishii, and I wear the number 3 jersey while playing as a CAM, CM, or CDM for Valencia CF Canada.

Primarily, I play in midfield, but I am also capable of playing on the wings and as a striker. My strengths lie in my vision and ability to read the game, which enables me to find the open player and break lines when in possession. I aim to pick up the ball in deep areas, maintaining composure to dictate the pace of the game. Off the ball, I impact the game by moving into spaces between the lines to advance the play or draw the opposition, allowing my teammates to receive the ball. Defensively, I can read the game to disrupt the opponent’s play. I constantly strive to be one step ahead, intercepting passes to either initiate a counter-attack or retain possession for my team.

One of my greatest soccer achievements was being selected as the best center defensive midfielder at the 2023 Canada Soccer Toyota Nationals by FTF.

Academically, I am currently in Grade 11 with a 4.0 GPA. My aspirations include pursuing studies in the health science field. I am fluent in both English and Portuguese and can understand Spanish and some French.

I continue to work towards improving every aspect of my game, hoping to play at a university with a high-performing team and strong academic programs.
